Hello everybody! We are pleased to announce that after a month of work, we are ready to open the forums (as well as the website itself) to the public. In order to promote a safe and healthy environment, we encourage any users to treat each other with respect.

We will be beginning a series detailing Ashville’s storied history on May 23rd, the 162nd anniversary of our founding. Additionally, after a period of consultation with concerned parties we will be adding a gift shop and tourism page to the site. If you have any suggestions for how we can improve our site, please let us know in this thread.

And special thanks to @ashvilleschizoid for bringing it to our attention that our lovely town lacked an online presence before now.

I’m glad that the mayor finally listened to my message, although I have to wonder why we didn’t already have this.

It’s simple really, nobody asked and if they did, they didn’t have financial backing

Is that a “generous donation to the local government” financial backing or a “pulling our campaign donations unless you comply” financial backing?

Thank you Jim, I’m glad to see my funding for this endeavor won’t go to waste. It’s always a pleasure to give back to the community.
